Fuel Injectors

Marine fuel injectors are critical components of the propulsion system in marine diesel engines. They are responsible for delivering precise amounts of fuel into the combustion chamber at the correct time and under high pressure. This process ensures efficient combustion and optimal engine performance.

Types of Fuel Injectors
Mechanical Fuel Injectors: Traditional mechanical fuel injectors operate based on mechanical principles, using a camshaft-driven mechanism to control the timing and duration of fuel injection. While still in use in some marine engines, mechanical injectors are becoming less common in favor of electronic fuel injection systems.
Electronic Fuel Injectors: Electronic fuel injectors are controlled by an engine control unit (ECU) that monitors various engine parameters and adjusts fuel delivery accordingly. Electronic injection systems offer greater precision, flexibility, and control over fuel delivery, resulting in improved fuel efficiency, emissions control, and engine performance.
